Our Responsibility & Commitment
Sustainability, in every sense of the word, has now become central to the corporate DNA of Dan Liris Group. Over the past decade, all the companies under the group have undertaken a journey to achieve greater sustainability in every aspect of textile production in terms of fabric selection, waste recycling and working with local artisans to keep traditional fabrics alive.
Sustainable Fabrics
At a group level, continuous research remains underway to develop new yarns and fabrics that are more environmentally friendly in terms of how they are produced and utilizing renewable raw materials. By carrying a wide range of fabric types that offer varied textures and properties such as Tencel, Seacell, Ahimsa Silk, Vegan Wool, Organic Linen and Recycled Rayon; we provide our brands infinite possibilities to realize their creativity when creating their new collections.
Waste Recycling
As a member of the Dan Liris Group which includes the fully integrated textile manufacturers Dan Liris and Ambassador Garmindo, the manufacturing of our brands takes place within a carefully crafted ecosystem that aims to minimise waste at each stage of production. For example, the abundance of yarn sizing and fabric cut off waste that is produced is now repurposed to create new fabrics that are used in subsequent collections. This includes cotton waste that has been recycled to create new yarn that is then used by traditional craftsmen to create Lurik, a traditional striped fabric woven on a handloom that has been used in collections by bateeq.
Future Focused Fashion
We are continuously looking to the future of fashion to create products that bring consumers joy without negatively impact on the earth's finite resources and this requires a completely fresh outlook. This is reflected in our corporate culture that is open minded to change, disruptive innovation and pioneering new concepts to enhance the sustainability of our brands.
